What is your allocation to alternative Investments

I keep an average allocation of alternatives from 20-30% depending on performance of other asset classes as well as general macro economic conditions prevailing.

Given that India’s growth story is in play for next 8 years or so, does it make sense to invest in Midcap/smallcap mutual funds?
